Newly promoted to the Super Lig, Amedspor is making an intense effort to sign Mauro Icardi, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
''CONTRACT EXPIRING''
Amedspor, one of the new members of the Super Lig, is preparing to make an ambitious start to the transfer window. The Diyarbakır-based team has turned its attention to star signings to ensure they remain in the league and to excite their fans. According to rumors, world-famous striker Mauro Icardi, whose contract with Galatasaray expires at the end of the season, is at the top of Amedspor's transfer list.
The Amedspor management has begun searching for strong sponsors to facilitate the star player's transfer. Club sources state that they are working to convince Icardi despite alternative offers from Argentina's River Plate and from Italy. It is understood that the management believes the player's arrival in Diyarbakır would increase the club's brand value.
''10 MILLION EUROS ANNUALLY''
Icardi is drawing attention with his high salary expectations for the upcoming season. It is reported that the Argentine striker, who is said to be demanding 10 million Euros annually, is open to lower wages from clubs in his home country. Amedspor aims to develop an effective transfer strategy for Icardi, who is also reportedly attracting interest from Europe.
On the other hand, the team's current striker and former Galatasaray player Mbaye Diagne drew attention with his performance last season. The management wants to see Icardi on the pitch alongside Diagne in the forward line, aiming to make a difference in the Super Lig.
