Another shock for Antalyaspor: Wright's transfer fee has vanished!

Financial problems have yet to be resolved at Antalyaspor, which spent the mid-season transfer window under a ban due to the ongoing financial crisis. A striking article has been written regarding the payment for Haji Wright, who was sold to Coventry City at the beginning of the season in a record-breaking transfer.

The article by Şifa Çiçek, President of the Antalya Branch of the Turkish Sports Writers Association, in the Akdeniz Manşet newspaper is as follows:

“Finally, I would like to share one more piece of information with you. As is known, approximately 1 million 500 thousand Euros came to Antalyaspor in February due to Haji Wright. This money suddenly disappeared! The executives were shocked! They investigated where the money went. It was alleged that the money went to Osman Şirin, the owner of Ayos Holding, who is part of the Antalyaspor management and was stated to donate millions of Euros to the club.”

After this crisis, voices were raised within the management as well. Questions were asked such as, “Did Ayos Holding make the donation it promised to Antalyaspor? How much money did it put in, and why did it take back the money that came from Haji Wright?”

Some executives also requested that the details of the statement made by Ayos Holding representative and President Sinan Boztepe, claiming “We made a payment of 8.5 million Euros,” be shared.
