Application filed for the expulsion of Acun Ilıcalı from Fenerbahçe congress membership

A new development has emerged in the Fenerbahçe community following the heated polemic between Aziz Yıldırım and Acun Ilıcalı. According to a report by journalist Sercan Hamzaoğlu, a group of Fenerbahçe congress members has filed an application with the Disciplinary Board requesting the expulsion of Ilıcalı from club membership.

It was stated that the official petitions prepared by the congress members have been submitted to the club management. The application requests that Acun Ilıcalı be removed from his Fenerbahçe congress membership.

Following the application, it is stated that the process will be evaluated by the Fenerbahçe Disciplinary Board. The board is expected to convene in the coming days to review the petitions and conduct its legal assessment regarding the matter.

The tension between Ilıcalı and Aziz Yıldırım had escalated with Yıldırım's statements directed at Ilıcalı during press conferences. Yıldırım had brought various allegations to the agenda regarding the purchase of luxury boxes at Ülker Stadium and requests for such boxes; the debate grew after Ilıcalı responded sharply to these statements.

It was reported that some members close to Yıldırım decided to take the process to the disciplinary board following the mutual statements. The final decision is expected to become clear after the review and evaluation to be conducted by the board.
