Bad news for Icardi: His contract will be frozen
Galatasaray will freeze Icardi's contract due to his injury. In his place, the club will add Polish right-back Przemyslaw Frankowski, whose transfer is nearing completion, to the squad.
Galatasaray aims to strengthen its squad by signing Przemyslaw Frankowski, who currently plays for the French club Lens. With this transfer, the number of foreign players in the yellow-red team will rise to 15. However, due to the 14-player foreign limit in the Süper Lig, the team will be forced to leave one player out of the squad.

GALATASARAY HAS TWO OPTIONS
Two different scenarios were analyzed for Galatasaray to bypass the foreign player limit. In the first scenario, freezing Icardi's contract was considered. As another option, loaning out Yusuf Demir was evaluated.

ICARDI'S CONTRACT WILL BE FROZEN
According to a report broadcast on TRT Spor, it has been decided to freeze the contract of the injured Argentine striker. Thus, while Frankowski will be included in the Süper Lig squad, Icardi will continue to remain in the active squad for European matches.
