Başakşehir opens the door to the next round in the UEFA Conference League
In the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, Başakşehir faced Norwegian side Viking away from home.
Başakşehir defeated Norwegian side Viking 3-1 away from home, gaining a significant advantage for the second leg. The match began with a shock goal. In the 2nd minute, following a defensive error, a ball that Duarte attempted to clear from the penalty area struck Sander Svendsen and found the back of the net: 1-0.
The first half of the match ended with Viking leading 1-0.
Showing a more effective performance in the second half, Başakşehir leveled the match in the 60th minute.
Deniz Türüç scored a spectacular goal from outside the penalty area to bring the score to 1-1.

Our representative managed to take the lead in the 79th minute. Christopher Operi, who was at fault for the first goal conceded, made up for his mistake and put his team ahead 2-1 with a classy strike from outside the penalty area.
The orange-navy blues found another goal in the 90+4th minute through their German striker Davie Selke, bringing the score to 3-1.
Maintaining their lead for the remainder of the match, Başakşehir left the pitch as the winners with a 3-1 scoreline.
The return leg of the match will be played on Wednesday, August 13, at the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium.
