CAS reaches decision in Galatasaray's case involving Tete
The legal dispute between Galatasaray, Shakhtar Donetsk, and player Tete, which began at FIFA and was later moved to the CAS, concluded with a settlement following a hearing at the CAS on July 22, 2025.
The amount to be paid by the Yellow-Reds has been capped at 1 million euros.
STATEMENT FROM GALATASARAY
The official statement released by Galatasaray included the following remarks:
"Regarding the case with reference number FPSD-11840, which was heard and decided upon by the FIFA Football Tribunal between Galatasaray Sportif Sınai ve Ticari Yatırımlar A.Ş., Shakhtar Donetsk, and Mateus Cardoso Lemos Martins, the dispute, which was ongoing at the CAS under case numbers 2024/A/10817-10818-10819, has concluded with a settlement at the hearing held at the CAS on 22.07.2025. As a result of the reached settlement, the liability of Galatasaray Sportif Sınai ve Ticari Yatırımlar A.Ş. is limited to 1,000,000.00 Euros (One Million Euros)."
