In his statement, Wayne Rooney said, "My goal is to manage Manchester United or Everton. That would be great for me. But of course, that is something that can happen over time. I hope to return to management and manage a team at that level within 10 years."
The English player also added, "I definitely want to get back into coaching. Even though what happened at Birmingham was a failure, I am a fighter. Getting fired is part of the job. The important thing is whether you can deal with it or not."
