Ebrar Karakurt's team for the new season has been decided

A contract development has occurred regarding Ebrar Karakurt, who continues her career in Russia.

National volleyball player Ebrar Karakurt, who plays for Lokomotiv Kaliningrad, was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season in the Russian League. The national volleyball player had broken a record by finishing the season with 785 points.

Kaliningrad announced that it has extended its contract with Karakurt for 1 year.

WHO IS EBRAR KARAKURT?

Ebrar Karakurt (born January 17, 2000, Balıkesir) is a Turkish volleyball player. Playing as an outside hitter, Karakurt is a player for the Turkey women's national volleyball team and the Russian team Lokomotiv Kaliningrad.

She began playing volleyball at the age of 12 at the VakıfBank Sports Club. Wearing the VakıfBank jersey, she experienced Turkish championships in both the star and youth categories for two consecutive years. Ebrar Karakurt, who became a World Champion with the U23 National Team, was the recipient of the 'Best Outside Hitter' award at the World Championship where she competed with the U18 National Team. Rising to the VakıfBank A Team in 2018, Karakurt experienced 1 Club World Championship title and 1 Turkish League Championship.

In May 2021, she signed a two-year contract with Igor Gorgonzola Novara, one of the teams in the Italian Women's Volleyball League.

In 2023, she transferred to Lokomotiv Kaliningrad, one of the teams in the Russian Women's Volleyball League.

She was part of the Turkey women's national volleyball team squads that became champions in the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League and the 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship.
