Ederson transfer on hold! Additional demand from City to Fenerbahçe
A critical development has occurred regarding Ederson, whom Fenerbahçe had reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign. The English club has suspended the transfer process by introducing an unexpected condition for the Brazilian goalkeeper's departure.
Fenerbahçe has stepped in for Manchester City's Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson, for whom Galatasaray has been negotiating for a long time. The Yellow-Navy Blues have reached an agreement with the player on personal terms.
Having shaken hands with the English club for a transfer fee of 15 million Euros, the Yellow-Navy Blues convinced the experienced goalkeeper with an annual salary of 8+2 million Euros. While the Brazilian shot-stopper was preparing to come to Istanbul, a last-minute snag emerged in the transfer.
IF DONNARUMMA ARRIVES, EDERSON WILL LEAVE
Manchester City, which plans to sign a new goalkeeper if they sell Ederson and wants to include their new signing in the Champions League squad, is delaying the Brazilian goalkeeper's departure.
According to Sky Sports; Manchester City will allow Ederson's transfer to Fenerbahçe only if they add Gianluigi Donnarumma to their squad. The English club, which is discussing the final details with PSG regarding Donnarumma, aims to bring the Italian goalkeeper to England within the day. However, Galatasaray has also stepped in at the last minute for the Italian goalkeeper and is looking for ways to turn the player's route to Istanbul.
