FROM PLAYER TO MANAGER
While listing the teams he wants to manage as a head coach, Emre Belözoğlu said, "Managing clubs like Fenerbahçe, first and foremost, and the teams I played for in Europe such as Inter, Newcastle, and Atlético Madrid is one of my biggest dreams." Describing Inter as his "second home," Belözoğlu expressed his satisfaction with the team's development.
Touching upon Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Belözoğlu emphasized his importance to Turkish football. Stating that Çalhanoğlu is one of the best midfielders in Europe, Belözoğlu remarked, "Hakan reads the game like a manager on the pitch and dictates the team's rhythm."
MEMORIES OF HIS INTER YEARS
Recalling his years at Inter with emotion, Belözoğlu said that playing against the strong Serie A teams of that era was a great experience for him. "In those years, there was a Serie A full of powerful teams like Juventus, Milan, Roma, and Lazio. This was a great opportunity for me," he said.
Belözoğlu also spoke about injuries, which were a turning point in his career. Explaining how the injuries he suffered at a young age affected his career, Belözoğlu said, "If I had been more mature at that time, my story could have been different."
Finally, touching upon his careers at Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, Belözoğlu stated that he accumulated significant memories at both clubs. "After I moved to Fenerbahçe, no one insulted me on the street, but I felt that people didn't love me as much as they used to. However, I have always felt like a Fenerbahçe fan," he said.
In addition to his playing career, Emre Belözoğlu is drawing attention with his coaching goals. It is eagerly awaited which clubs he will manage in the future.
