Enzo Fernandez addresses departure rumors

Enzo Fernandez has made statements following claims that he would leave Chelsea.

Enzo Fernandez, who performed brilliantly as Argentina reached the title at the 2022 World Cup, was subsequently transferred from Benfica to Chelsea for a fee of 121 million Euros. 

Since his transfer, Enzo Fernandez has been one of the most important names for the Blues and had signed a long-term contract until 2031.

"I do not want to leave"

The Argentine player, who had been the subject of rumors suggesting he wanted to leave the team due to Chelsea's current situation, put an end to the speculation. 

Speaking to ESPN, the star player said, "No, I don't want to leave Chelsea. I feel very good here with my teammates and the entire coaching staff, and it has been like this since the first day I arrived. The people at the club treat me very well, and I treat them very well. I am grateful to them... I will stay here until they decide otherwise."

Enzo Fernandez has appeared in 30 matches for Chelsea this season, scoring 7 goals and providing 1 assist.
