EURO 2024's referee-friendly ball: Fussballliebe

All eyes will be on the tournament's official match ball, Fussballliebe (Football Love), at the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024), which will be hosted by Germany from June 14 to July 14.

In the tournament, which will be held in a total of 10 stadiums, football fans will enjoy the excitement for a month with the official match ball, Fussballliebe.

Adidas, the company that has produced the official match ball for the organization held every 4 years since 1968, will use "Connected Ball" technology for the first time in this tournament.

The ball, which was introduced in 2023 by UEFA and Adidas at a ceremony in front of the Olympic Stadium in the capital Berlin, means "football love" in German.

REFEREE-FRIENDLY HIGH TECHNOLOGY

The tournament's official match ball, Fussballliebe, will provide significant support to referees in the decision-making process thanks to its high technology.

Thanks to the "Connected Ball" technology that Adidas will use for the first time in European championships, referee errors will be minimized.

This technology will provide referees with information about every movement of the ball. This will contribute significantly to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) decision-making process.

USED IN QUALIFIERS FOR THE FIRST TIME

The Fussballliebe football made its debut in the qualifying stages before the tournament.

The tournament's official match ball was first used in the EURO 2024 group qualifying match played between Italy and North Macedonia.

On the other hand, the tournament's official match ball was also featured in the friendly match between Germany and Turkey at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
