Fatih Terim loses 4 TL reputation lawsuit

Famous manager Fatih Terim, nicknamed "The Emperor," had filed a lawsuit against the bank in response to being accused in fraud allegations involving a "high-yield fund" that also included football players.

He claimed that his reputation had been damaged and that a smear campaign was being conducted. He filed a lawsuit for 1 million dollars in pecuniary damages and 4 lira in non-pecuniary damages.

The Istanbul Civil Court of First Instance announced its verdict in the case, which had been ongoing for a year. The court rejected Terim's 4 lira non-pecuniary damages lawsuit against the bank, ruling that the phrase "the fund known by the coach's name" was used to inform the public and was not intended to damage Fatih Terim's reputation.
