Fenerbahçe demands the appointment of foreign referees

The following statement was shared on the yellow-navy club's social media account:

"Enough with the injustice! We want a solution. As of the 17th week of the Süper Lig, it is now at an undeniable level that referees are clearly interfering with matches and results.

This season, which began with the slogan 'justice in football,' has turned into a disgraceful theater with scandalous refereeing decisions, especially in our team's matches. Despite the efforts of the Turkish Football Federation and the rebellion of teams suffering from injustice, Turkish football is being systematically slaughtered, particularly through VAR referees.

So much so that the errors consistently occur in favor of one team, and this team is clearly provided with an advantage on the path to the championship. In our team's match against Eyüpspor, our opponent was ensured to finish the match with a full squad due to cards that were not given; a refereeing massacre was committed as 2 clear and indisputable penalties that were not awarded to our team were ignored by the VAR referees.

Turkish football cannot be sacrificed to these systematic attacks and decay that are committed in plain sight and cannot be characterized as mere mistakes.

As Fenerbahçe Sports Club, we do not accept this disgrace; we want justice, and we demand that foreign referees be appointed immediately."
