Fenerbahçe keeps up the pressure at the top: Critical win in Sivas
In the 31st week of the Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe maintained its title challenge by defeating Sivasspor 3-1 away from home. The yellow-navies, who secured the victory with goals from Talisca and Tadic, increased their points tally to 71.
In the 31st week of the 2024/25 Süper Lig season, Fenerbahçe were the guests of Sivasspor away from home. Fenerbahçe won the match played at the Yeni 4 Eylül Stadium with a score of 3-1, keeping up their pursuit of league leaders Galatasaray, trailing by three points.
The first goal of the match came in the 42nd minute. Fenerbahçe's Brazilian star Anderson Talisca put his team 1-0 ahead with a free-kick from outside the penalty area.

Starting the second half quickly, the yellow-navies made it 2-0 in the 47th minute with a clean strike from outside the penalty area by Dusan Tadic.
Sivasspor reduced the deficit to one in the 57th minute. One of the red-whites' effective players, Efkan Bekiroğlu, beat goalkeeper Livakovic with a powerful shot from approximately 25 meters out, making the score 2-1.

However, the player who left his mark on the final part of the match was once again Dusan Tadic. The Serbian star sealed his team's victory in the 90th minute with a classy inside-foot strike with his left foot from outside the penalty area, extending the lead back to two: 3-1.
Sivasspor finished the match with 10 men after defender Uros Radakovic was shown a straight red card in the 85th minute for a foul committed as the last man.
Following this victory, Fenerbahçe increased their points to 71 and managed to stay right on the heels of Galatasaray, who are at the top with 74 points. Having passed another critical turn in the championship race, İsmail Kartal's students will host Kayserispor at home next week.
League leaders Galatasaray will host Bodrumspor at home in the 32nd week.

In the 5th minute, goalkeeper Livakovic cleared Manaj's header off the goal line following a free-kick taken by Uğur Çiftçi from the left wing.
In the 15th minute, goalkeeper Ali Şaşal Vural tipped Talisca's header inside the penalty area over for a corner following a cross from Tadic on the right wing.
In the 29th minute, Bekir Böke carried the ball he received from midfield to the edge of the penalty area. Goalkeeper Livakovic made a difficult save from Bekir Böke's powerful shot.
In the 42nd minute, Talisca stepped up for the awarded free-kick. Talisca's powerful shot from outside the penalty area went into the net to the right of goalkeeper Ali Şaşal Vural: 0-1
