Fenerbahçe's reaction to the referee: Biased decisions
Fenerbahçe Sports Club has issued a statement reacting to the refereeing decisions made during the Galatasaray vs. Göztepe match, which took place in the 18th week of the Süper Lig.
In a statement made by Fenerbahçe Secretary General Burak Kızılhan, the refereeing decisions in the match were met with a harsh reaction, and the following remarks were included:
"The refereeing errors that we witness every week and are ashamed to watch continue to affect the fate of the league.
"BIASED DECISIONS MADE WITHOUT HESITATION..."
Despite the positions occurring before the eyes of millions, the biased decisions made by referees without hesitation have become an open challenge to our club and to those who want fair competition in Turkish football. Referees know very well that they will continue to be assigned matches when they make errors in favor of one team; however, even if a decision is correct, they will be punished by not being able to officiate matches for weeks if that decision is against a certain team.
"IT IS BEING SHAMELESSLY ATTEMPTED TO BE NORMALIZED"
This distorted system paves the way for Galatasaray in every sense and encourages them. The players of the relevant team act with the comfort of knowing that their insults toward referees, harsh interventions against opposing players, and all their violations—as seen in the latest example this evening—will go unpunished. All these instances of favoritism and lawlessness are being shamelessly attempted to be normalized through wordplay and tactics aimed at diverting the agenda.
"THE LEAGUE HAS NO RELIABILITY OR JUSTICE!"
A league played with these referees has no reliability or justice! To ensure the establishment of justice and to ensure that the efforts earned with sweat on the pitch are rewarded, the practice of using foreign referees must be implemented immediately. Our stance, expectation, and demand on this matter are clear and explicit; we have no tolerance for Turkish football to spend one more day devoid of justice and far from sporting reality!"
