FIFA President Infantino's request regarding Russia

Speaking to Sky News, Infantino stated that banning Russia from international matches achieves nothing, only creating more disappointment and hatred.

Gianni Infantino also apologized for his remarks about English fans during his speech at the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland, last month.

Stating that his intention was not to offend English fans, Infantino said, "First of all, I must apologize. It was actually a comment made in jest to show that the World Cup in Qatar was a celebration, a peaceful event, and that everyone came together peacefully."

Infantino emphasized that it is a "wonderful thing" for English fans to come, support their teams, and have fun in a peaceful manner.

In his speech in Davos, Gianni Infantino had said that for the first time in history, no English fans were arrested during the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar, and following this statement, he was subjected to harsh criticism from English fans.
