Galatasaray continued its confident march forward by eliminating Italy's historic club Juventus in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 play-off stage.
Having defeated its opponent 5-2 at home in the first leg, Galatasaray solidified its dominance with a 3-2 victory in the away return leg, securing its place in the round of 16.
The economic return of this sporting success has also been remarkable. With this round, the yellow-red team earned an additional 11 million euros from UEFA. Thus, the total amount brought into the club's coffers from the Champions League so far has reached 53.5 million euros.
Galatasaray has bigger goals. If the club advances past the round of 16 to the quarter-finals, it will have the chance to add another 12.5 million euros to its revenue.
