Kocaelispor: 'This team deserves the Süper Lig'
Kocaelispor assistant coach Mutlu Dervişoğlu made statements following the loss to Sakaryaspor. Dervişoğlu said, 'This team deserves the Süper Lig.'
Kocaelispor assistant coach Mutlu Dervişoğlu stated that head coach Ertuğrul Sağlam could not attend the press conference due to high blood pressure, and reminded that they were in second place in the league coming into the away match against Sakarya, adding that they wanted to maintain their position heading into the winter break.
Expressing that they were facing a bitter rival, Dervişoğlu noted that they were aware of the importance of the rivalry and that they had taken the pitch with the intention of leaving with a desired result.
Stating that the first half of the match was balanced and that despite establishing dominance in the early parts of the second half, they lost control to their opponent after conceding the second goal, Dervişoğlu said, "The moves we made at that point unfortunately did not provide the contribution we expected, but I want to state that there is no deviation from Kocaelispor's goal for the future, and we will do everything in our power to carry Kocaelispor to the Süper Lig, where it belongs, at the end of the season."
