Fenerbahçe has accelerated its transfer efforts to strengthen its forward line. In this context, significant steps have been taken in negotiations with Norwegian striker Alexander Sörloth. The management achieved positive results in talks with Sörloth's agent and reached an agreement in principle with the player for 12 million Euros per year.
While Atletico Madrid is demanding 35-40 million Euros for Sörloth, Fenerbahçe had been continuing negotiations with the Spanish club to lower this fee to 30 million Euros. However, an unexpected development occurred during this process.
LIVERPOOL'S INTEREST
According to information provided by journalist Matteo Moretto to Radio Marca, English giant Liverpool also wants to add Sörloth to its squad. This situation could complicate Fenerbahçe's transfer plans. It is noted that the Norwegian striker may not remain indifferent to Liverpool's interest.
The progress in Fenerbahçe's negotiations with Atletico Madrid and the entry of Liverpool have made the transfer process even more complex. The yellow-navy club continues its efforts to add Sörloth to its squad.
