New development regarding district sports director who targeted the Republic
Konya Ereğli District Youth and Sports Director Cumali Özince has been suspended following a social media post in which he targeted the Republic.
Cumali Özince, who served as the Konya Ereğli District Youth and Sports Director, has been suspended due to a post on his social media account.
Targeting the Republic of Turkey, Özince had used the phrases, "May you forgive us, Osman Gazi, Orhan Gazi! Today is the last day of your trust, which the seven powers combined could not destroy."
Following backlash from followers, Özince made a new post praising the Republic, stating, "May you make our Republic of Turkey, the pride of the Turkic world and the hope of the oppressed, which we are celebrating its 100th anniversary, eternal."
It has been learned that District Youth and Sports Director Cumali Özince was suspended in relation to his post and that an inspector has been assigned to the matter.
