In a statement from the club, it was stated that a 1+1 year agreement has been reached with Thomas Reis.
The statement read, "Our club, which is continuing its preparations for the 2024-25 season, has signed a 1+1 year contract with German coach Thomas Reis for the position of head coach."

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Thomas Reis said, "Samsun is a very beautiful city. I am happy to be here.
