Sergen Yalçın: 'We will finish and say goodbye'
Antalyaspor Manager Sergen Yalçın said regarding the Adana Demirspor victory, "The important part for us was that we played our last home match. We wanted to win today. We said, let's at least have a good finale and close it out."
In the 37th week of the Süper Lig, Antalyaspor defeated Adana Demirspor 2-1 at home.
Speaking at the press conference held after the match, Antalyaspor Manager Sergen Yalçın stated that it was a good match, saying, "Despite both teams having no specific targets, two teams that wanted to win played a beautiful game that was enjoyable to watch, full of chances and high in competitive spirit. The important part for us was that we played our last home match. We wanted to win today. We said, let's at least have a good finale and close it out. In that respect, it was a very valuable match for us, and winning brought a separate joy. We are all happy," he said.
'WE WILL FINISH THE LAST MATCH AND SAY GOODBYE'
Stating that there is one match left for Antalyaspor, Yalçın said, "We will finish and say goodbye. I would like to thank our President Sinan Boztepe very much. Before the match, they gave plaques to me and our entire team. They honored us. Even though we worked for a very short time, it was a source of pride for us. That they sent us off with a plaque. I would like to thank him and the board of directors very much for these thoughts. I hope Antalyaspor will present an image of a team that is enjoyable to watch next season with a new structure, a new coach, and a good squad," he expressed.
