Statement from Hamit Altıntop on Semih Kılıçsoy
Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Board Member in Charge of National Teams, Hamit Altıntop, made statements regarding Beşiktaş's young talent Semih Kılıçsoy.
Our National Team's opponents in the UEFA Nations League have been determined. The national team was drawn into League B, Group 4, alongside Wales, Iceland, and Montenegro.
Following the draw, Board Member in Charge of National Teams Hamit Altıntop joined TRT SPOR via telephone.
DRAW COMMENTARY
"It is a good draw. As you know, we earned the right to promote from League C to League B. Now our goal is to promote to League A and represent Turkey in the best way possible. The average age of our player group in the National Team has dropped, and the quality of play has improved. We want to continue with this system. I believe that by continuing this positive process, we will keep building on it with a dominant style of play."
Altıntop stated, ''Our dreams are very big. With this new generation, we can build the best National Team in our history for EURO 2032, which will be held in our country. Recently, the average age of the player group in the National Team has dropped, and the quality of play has improved. We want to continue with this system.''
Regarding Beşiktaş's young star Semih Kılıçsoy, Hamit Altıntop commented, ''Semih Kılıçsoy is not a surprise; we have been closely interested in and following him for years. He came into the spotlight once he started getting playing time at Beşiktaş. He is a player who will strengthen our squad and increase competition.''
