Teams from the Süper Lig that will participate in European cups have been finalized
Following Trabzonspor's 2-1 victory over Konyaspor in the Ziraat Turkish Cup final, the teams that will represent the Süper Lig in Europe and the specific competitions they will compete in have been clarified.
Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor, Beşiktaş, and Başakşehir will represent Turkey in European competitions next season. Süper Lig champion Galatasaray has qualified directly for the league phase of the UEFA Champions League next season.
Fenerbahçe, which finished the Süper Lig in 2nd place, will begin its European journey in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. The yellow-navy blues will need to pass 3 rounds to qualify for the Champions League. Fenerbahçe will play its first match in the second qualifying round on July 21-22.
Trabzonspor will participate in the UEFA Europa League play-off round
Trabzonspor, which finished the Süper Lig in 3rd place and also triumphed in the Ziraat Turkish Cup, will participate in the UEFA Europa League play-off round.
The burgundy-blues will secure a spot in the league phase if they pass the play-off round. Trabzonspor will play its first match in the play-off round on August 20.
Süper Lig 4th-place finisher Beşiktaş will also compete in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers next season.
Beşiktaş needs to pass 3 rounds for Europe
The 'Black Eagles', who will start their European adventure in the second qualifying round, will play their first match on July 23.
The black-whites need to pass 3 rounds to qualify for the Europa League.
Başakşehir, which finished the Süper Lig in 5th place, qualified for European competitions after Trabzonspor became the champion in the Turkish Cup.
Başakşehir, which will participate in the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round, will play its first match on July 23.
Başakşehir will also need to pass 3 rounds to secure a spot in the Conference League league phase.
