Tedesco's first comments after Fenerbahçe's points drop
Fenerbahçe manager Domenico Tedesco evaluated his team's performance following the 1-1 draw against Göztepe, emphasizing that despite the dropped points, the season is still long.
In the 19th week of the Trendyol Super League, Fenerbahçe hosted Göztepe at Ülker Stadium. Although the match began with high expectations from fans and the community, the 1-1 draw left the home side disappointed.
Following the final whistle, Fenerbahçe manager Domenico Tedesco answered questions from members of the press.
THE SEASON IS VERY LONG
Tedesco shared the following thoughts after the match:
"We created many chances today. We controlled a large part of the game. We played against an organized team with high sprint distances. We experienced a slight drop in the second half. We were late in finding solutions. We were late in our passes and runs. At the end of the day, these things happen in football. We need to accept it and look ahead."
"The season is still very long. The Alanyaspor match was difficult, the Aston Villa match was difficult, and this match was difficult. We played against three above-average teams in a row. We did a good job. The team is doing well. We have to accept the result. We lost 2 points, but we were the side closer to winning. These kinds of results happen in football. We need to look ahead."
