Trabzonspor's victory carries Başakşehir to Europe

RAMS Başakşehir finished the 2025-2026 Super League season in 5th place with 57 points, earned from 16 wins, 6 draws, and 9 losses in 34 matches.

The orange-navy blue team earned the right to participate in the UEFA Europa Conference League after Trabzonspor won the Ziraat Turkish Cup. With the claret-blues, who finished the league in 3rd place, winning the cup, Beşiktaş will play in the UEFA Europa League, while Başakşehir will play in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

The Istanbul representative, which is in its 12th season since its founding year of 2014, has earned the right to compete in European cups for the 10th time.

Başakşehir will begin its Conference League journey from the 2nd qualifying round. If they pass this round, the orange-navy blues will advance to the 3rd qualifying round and then compete in the play-off stage. If the Istanbul team also passes the play-off round, they will qualify for the league phase.

Başakşehir's European adventure last season

Başakşehir started the UEFA Europa Conference League in the 2nd qualifying round last season. The orange-navy blue team advanced to the next round by defeating Cherno More Varna 1-0 and 4-0 in that round. In the next stage, the Istanbul representative defeated Viking FK 3-1 away and drew 1-1 at home to reach the play-off round. Paired with Universitatea Craiova in the play-off round for the league phase, Başakşehir bid farewell to Europe after losing 2-1 at home and 3-1 away to their opponent.
