The burgundy-blue club released a statement titled "We demand equality for justice." The statement read, "Protecting the justice of football, ensuring that competition continues under equal and fair conditions, and guaranteeing that the effort put in on the pitch is rewarded in a manner befitting the spirit of sport is the shared responsibility of all stakeholders.
In this direction, in order to prevent errors that could directly affect the outcome of the match in critical encounters, we request that Slavko Vincic, whom we believe will display an experienced and, most importantly, fair management, be assigned to our away match against Fenerbahçe and our home match against Galatasaray.
We invite the Turkish Football Federation to take the necessary steps for the fair management of football and to take responsibility for ensuring that these critical struggles are managed in a way that befits the spirit of the sport," it said.
