Biles had testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee

Simone Biles, who withdrew from several events at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to mental health struggles, had testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee after the Olympics alongside her teammates, alleging that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and national federation officials had ignored the abuse of hundreds of women by Larry Nassar, the former doctor of the US Olympic Gymnastics Team.

The US athlete, who had been away from gymnastics for a long time, had decided to participate in the 52nd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Antwerp.
