Volkan Demirel speaks after Galatasaray match: We played 14 against 10 today

Galatasaray visited Bodrum FK in the 13th week of the Trendyol Super Lig. Michy Batshuayi broke the deadlock in a match where the first half ended goalless.

The Belgian star, who replaced Metehan Baltacı in the second half, sent the ball into the net in the 54th minute, securing the victory for his team. Bodrum FK manager Volkan Demirel made statements after the match.

Even though we were down to 10 men, we had a slight dip between the 45th and 60th minutes. That is normal. We got back into the game with substitutions. We found positions from transitions, and one of our shots hit the post. I am happy with today's performance and the fight we put up against the league leaders, Galatasaray. Actually, there is a lot to talk about. There are things I could explain, but some things come to mind during the match. I'll let it all go. We are looking at the same line as the assistant referee, my man is heading toward a goal. If it were left to flow, if it were checked by VAR..."

"I DON'T WANT TO HURT PEOPLE"

"Why are no players being developed in Turkish football? A 19-20-year-old kid raises his hands; I look at the intent of whether he stepped or didn't step. You need to play football, know football, and think about the rules. Why are no players being developed? A yellow card for his first foul, another yellow card for his second foul.
