The Fenerbahçe Beko Men's Basketball team has added center Jilson Bango, who was playing for Spain's Casademont Zaragoza, to its roster. According to the statement made by the yellow-navy club, the Angolan national center will play for Fenerbahçe until the end of the 2026-2027 season.

Selected as the most valuable player of the Spanish League in December, Bango averaged 19.6 points, 7 rebounds, and a 23.4 efficiency rating in the matches he played during that period.

WHO IS JILSON BANGO?
Jilson Bango is a professional basketball player born on January 6, 1999, in Sumbe, Angola. He is 2.08 meters tall, weighs 94 kilograms, and plays in the center position.
Bango began his professional career in 2018 with the Marinha de Guerra team. He played for the Primeiro de Agosto team between 2019 and 2022, during which time he won individual awards in the Angolan League. In 2022, he signed a three-year contract with Germany's Basketball Löwen Braunschweig team. In 2024, he transferred to the Spanish team Casademont Zaragoza.
In February 2025, he signed a contract with Turkey's Fenerbahçe Beko team. He has participated in international tournaments with the Angolan national basketball team and competed in the FIBA AfroCan 2019 and FIBA AfroBasket 2021.
