Attempted knife attack on police in Küçükçekmece! Suspect neutralized
In Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district, 25-year-old Berkcan Keskin, who is believed to have mental health issues, was approached by police teams after reports that he was causing damage to the surroundings. During the intervention, Keskin attempted to attack a police officer with a knife.

Motorized police units, arriving at the scene following reports from local citizens, attempted to calm Keskin down. However, Keskin attempted to attack the police teams with a knife. Despite firing warning shots into the air, the police neutralized Keskin by shooting him in the leg after he continued his attack.
The injured suspect was taken by ambulance to Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital. It was learned that Keskin, who is under treatment, is in good health. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
