Two people swept away in the Seyhan River held hands while waiting for help: The moment caught on camera

In an incident near the Taşköprü bridge in Adana, two people who took a boat out onto the river to place balloons nearly lost their lives. The strong current on the Seyhan River quickly dragged the boat out of control.

Şahin A. and Kader K. hit the rocks near the bridge piers after their boat lost direction due to the current. Following the impact, the boat became stuck, and the two people were left stranded in the middle of the river.

The man and woman, who were in a state of panic, held hands while waiting for help. Upon notification, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the area. A race against time began at the scene.

Underwater police and fire department teams reached the boat in a controlled manner despite the current.

An underwater police officer carried Kader K. on his back, while a firefighter carried Şahin A. to the bridge piers. The two were then lifted to safety with the help of a crane.
