The requirements included in the posting by Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal have become a hot topic.

According to the posting, this person will not be paid a salary by Zomato for the first year, and the successful candidate will pay the company 2 million Indian rupees (approximately $23,670) for the job.

Just 24 hours before applications closed, more than 18,000 applications had been submitted.

According to a report by Cnbc-e, Zomato CEO Goyal stated in his post that the fee would be donated to his NGO, Feeding India, and that this role is a "fast-track learning program" that would provide "10 times more learning" than a management course.

However, Goyal later made another statement, saying that the requirement to pay the fee was just a trick. Goyal stated that this detail was provided "just as a filter to find people who have the ability to appreciate the opportunity."
