Call for 'gradual dialogue' from the Greek Cypriot Administration

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Greek Cypriot Administration (GCA) leader Nikos Christodoulides on the sidelines of the "Peace and Security for Ukraine" meeting held in Paris, France.

STATEMENT ON DIALOGUE: "IT SHOULD BEGIN GRADUALLY"

Following the meeting, Christodoulides said in a statement, "We had a more detailed dialogue about the developments in our region with the Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye's government.

What was expressed by all parties is that there is a need for a dialogue that will resolve any existing or emerging differences of opinion. Without dialogue, without diplomacy, solutions cannot be found to the problems and challenges we face.

I believe it is important for a dialogue with the Turkish government to begin gradually. This was something that was not easy to achieve even in the context of such conferences in the past, and I find it important that this discussion took place," he said.
