Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, and Palestine offer aid to Lebanon: Messages of solidarity

Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, and Palestine have sent messages of solidarity to Lebanon, where 9 people were killed and 2,800 injured following the detonation of pagers. Middle Eastern countries have signaled to Lebanon that they are ready to provide aid for the treatment of the wounded.

According to reports from Lebanon's official news agency NNA, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty noted in a phone call with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib that they stand in solidarity with Lebanon.

Stating that Egypt stands by Lebanon, Abdelatty announced that his country is ready to provide all possible assistance for the treatment of the injured.

Iraqi Government Spokesperson Bassem al-Awadi stated in a press release that the Iraqi government is closely monitoring the dangerous developments in Lebanon.

Spokesperson al-Awadi noted that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has ordered the dispatch of Iraqi medical and emergency teams to brotherly Lebanon as soon as possible to provide urgent aid and alleviate the suffering of innocent wounded civilians.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said in a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati that King Abdullah II of Jordan has ordered the provision of all necessary medical aid for the treatment of Lebanese citizens injured in the pager explosions.

Safadi emphasized that Jordan stands by Lebanon's security, sovereignty, and stability, and is in solidarity with Lebanon and its people.

Palestinian Ambassador to Beirut Ashraf Dabbour stated in a press conference that they have mobilized health workers and opened all Palestinian hospitals in Lebanon to treat the wounded.

Dabbour conveyed that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has ordered the admission of the injured to hospitals and the provision of all forms of support, in addition to calling on Palestinians in Lebanon to donate blood to support the wounded.

In a written statement issued by Hamas, the detonation of the pagers was condemned, and the incident was described as 'a dangerous crime that defies all laws and customs.'

Member of the Houthis' Supreme Political Council Mohammed Ali al-Houthi stated on the X platform that the Lebanese people are strong and will not be affected by the pager explosions.

Al-Houthi used the expression, 'Any attack will only increase the determination of the Islamic resistance to defeat the Zionist entity.'
