Hamas confirms death of leader Mohammed Deif
Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, has confirmed the death of their leader, Mohammed Deif.
In his statement, Abu Obeida noted that in addition to Deif, members of the Qassam Brigades Military Council, including Marwan Issa, Ghazi Abu Tamah, Raed Thabet, Rafi Salameh, Ahmed al-Ghandour, and Ayman Nofal, had also lost their lives.
Abu Obeida did not provide details regarding when or how Deif died.
The Israeli military had announced on August 1, 2024, that it had killed Deif.
