Iran's Fars News Agency: Iran rejects US proposal for 48-hour ceasefire
According to a report released by Iran's Fars News Agency, Iran has rejected a ceasefire proposal it received.
As tensions escalate in the region following military attacks launched by Israel and the US while negotiations with Iran were ongoing, it has been reported that Iran has rejected a 48-hour ceasefire proposal from the US.
Israel and the US launched military attacks on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were underway between the Tehran and Washington administrations.
In response, Iran carried out attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, primarily Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Kuwait, where US bases are located, as well as in Israel.
The US-Israeli attacks resulted in the deaths of former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei as well as numerous high-ranking officials.
Fars News Agency announced that Iran has rejected the US proposal for a 48-hour ceasefire.
