Iran wants to change the location and format of talks with the US: Could be in Oman

As tensions between Iran and the US continue, the parties are expected to come together on Friday. Reports in the US press suggest that Iran has requested that the meeting, which was allegedly set to take place in Istanbul on Friday, be moved to Oman and that the format of the meeting be changed to a bilateral one. Several Arab and Muslim countries were expected to attend the meeting as observers.

While the location and format of the meeting have not yet been officially announced, it is anticipated that the US delegation will be led by Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy to the Middle East, and the Iranian delegation will be led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Witkoff met with Netanyahu

Witkoff visited Israel today and met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It was reported that Iran was discussed during the meeting, and that Israeli Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir, Mossad Director David Barnea, and military intelligence chief General Shlomi Binder were also present.
