CALL FOR RESTRAINT FROM PAKISTAN
As tensions between Washington and Tehran rise again following US President Donald Trump's recent statements regarding Iran, Pakistan has called on the parties to exercise restraint.
In a statement issued by the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the US and Iran were called upon to remain committed to their obligations under the memorandum of understanding signed last month and to refrain from any actions that could further damage regional peace and stability. The statement included the words, "There is no alternative to maintaining continuous engagement, dialogue, and diplomacy to achieve the goal of common peace in the region."
