Claim: Iranian President Pezeshkian injured in Israeli attack!

According to claims by the Iran-based Fars News Agency, one of the most critical moments of the attacks on Iran, which were launched by Israel on June 13 and lasted for 12 days, occurred on the morning of Monday, June 16, in western Tehran. It is alleged that Israel targeted a building where a Supreme National Security Council meeting was being held with a missile strike.

At the time of the attack, President Masoud Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, and several other high-level officials were in the building for a meeting.

PEZESHKIAN AND OFFICIALS INJURED

According to the report, the attack targeted the lower floors and entry-exit points of the building where the meeting was taking place. In the chaos caused by the explosions, power was cut and air circulation in the building was disrupted. Iranian officials left the building using a pre-determined emergency exit.

However, it was claimed that President Pezeshkian and some officials were slightly injured in their legs during the escape. Fars News Agency stated that the details of the attack are highly sensitive and that the possibility of an internal information leak is being evaluated.

It is alleged that 6 missiles or bombs were used in the attack. It is assessed that with this attack, Israel targeted not only the Iranian leadership but also the country's defense coordination. Fars News Agency also emphasized that the attack resembled the assassination model previously planned against Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut.

PEZESHKIAN: “ZIONISTS ATTEMPTED AN ASSASSINATION”

Iranian President Pezeshkian had previously openly mentioned this attempted attack in an interview he gave to American journalist Tucker Carlson. Pezeshkian had stated, “An assassination attempt was made against me by the Zionist regime. During the meeting, they bombed the building we were in using information they received from their agents, but they did not succeed.”

LEAK SUSPICION CREATES CRISIS

It was reported that significant activity began within Iranian intelligence following the attack, and the suspicion of a leak has put sensitive institutions within the state on alert. According to Fars News Agency, while the investigation process continues, it is stated that the security level in Iran has been increased against possible new attacks by Israel.
