Israeli ships banned from entering that country!

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced that all Israeli-flagged and Israeli-owned ships are banned from docking at the country's ports, citing Israel's "oppression" of Palestinians.

The statement indicated that the ban is a response to Israel's stance in its attacks on Palestine and will take effect immediately.

"WILL NOT AFFECT MALAYSIA'S COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES"

Stating that the previous government had allowed Israel-based companies and ships to dock at ports since 2005, Anwar noted that this decision has been revoked.

Anwar stated, "This sanction is a response to Israel's ongoing massacre and oppression of the Palestinian people, its actions that disregard basic humanitarian principles and violate international law."

Anwar noted that in addition to Israeli-owned and Israeli-flagged ships, all vessels belonging to the Israeli shipping company ZIM, which had been granted entry permits since 2002, are banned from docking at the country's ports indefinitely. He also announced that a ban has been imposed on all ships heading to Israel from loading cargo at Malaysian ports.

Anwar assessed that this decision would not affect Malaysia's commercial activities.
