Member of parliament from that country kidnapped!
Ibrahim al-Drisi, a member of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), has been kidnapped. The HoR has requested that an investigation be launched into the incident.
It has been reported that Ibrahim al-Drisi, a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) based in the city of Tobruk in eastern Libya, was kidnapped in the city of Benghazi.
In a written statement issued by the HoR, it was stated that the incident of MP al-Drisi being kidnapped in Benghazi is being followed with concern.
The statement called for security forces to make efforts to locate al-Drisi and urged the public prosecutor's office to launch an investigation into the incident.
The statement did not share any information regarding who kidnapped MP al-Drisi.
Reports in Libyan media had noted that al-Drisi was kidnapped by units affiliated with Khalifa Haftar, the leader of armed forces in the east of the country.
