It has been reported that the mpox virus has been detected in a person in the Philippines who has no history of travel outside the country.
According to a report by the Philippine News Agency (PNA), health officials stated in a statement regarding the matter that they will continue their efforts for the rapid detection of the mpox virus.

Noting that the mpox virus was last seen in December 2023, officials stated that the individuals who were diagnosed were placed in isolation and have recovered from the disease.
14 CASES IN INDONESIA
According to a report by Antara News, health officials in Indonesia stated that mpox virus testing for those arriving from abroad has been tightened.
Officials announced that the mpox virus was detected in 14 people in various regions of the country between January and August.
