Netanyahu protested by Israelis

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was protested by Israelis at the airport before his visit to Hungary.

Israel Army Radio reported that banners demanding a "ceasefire in Gaza and the immediate release of Israeli hostages" were unfurled during the protest by Israelis at Ben Gurion Airport.

Reacting to the Netanyahu government's resumption of attacks on Gaza, the families of Israeli hostages asked, "Has it been decided to sacrifice the lives of the hostages in exchange for the capture of Gaza?" 

The families of the Israeli hostages expressed their reactions by stating, "Instead of releasing the hostages as foreseen in the agreement and ending the war, the Israeli government is sending more soldiers to Gaza, causing them to fight in places they have already fought many times before."

Netanyahu landed in Hungary on the morning of April 3.

Hungary is a country that is a party to the Rome Statute, which Netanyahu visited for an official trip despite the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza.
