Official in Taiwan vomits on President Lai
During a speech in front of the Wumiao Temple as part of the Lunar New Year celebrations in Taiwan, Wumiao Temple Chairman Lin Pei-huo fell ill and, despite trying to cover his mouth with his hand, vomited on Taiwan President William Lai Ching-te.
An unexpected incident occurred in Taiwan during a speech held in front of a temple as part of the Lunar New Year celebrations.
Taiwan President William Lai Ching-te and accompanying officials visited the Wumiao Temple for the Lunar New Year.
Later, President Ching-te, Wumiao Temple Chairman Lin Pei-huo, and Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che appeared before the cameras to make statements.
During Tainan Mayor Huang's speech, Temple Chairman Lin fell ill and began to vomit.
Although Lin tried to cover his mouth with his hand, he vomited on President William Lai and turned away to move out of the camera's view.
Lin later stated that he had contracted norovirus from a family member and apologized for the unfortunate incident. Lin reported that his health is currently good.
