Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent New Year's greetings to numerous leaders via telegram. The Kremlin announced that Putin sent telegrams to a series of current and former leaders on the occasion of the upcoming New Year.
SENT TELEGRAMS TO MANY LEADERS
According to the Kremlin's statement, among the names to whom Putin sent telegrams were President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa, and Pope Francis were also among the leaders congratulated by the Russian leader.
Notable names on the list from South America included Bolivian President Luis Alberto Arce, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, and Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.
Putin also celebrated the New Year of former leaders such as Gerhard Schröder, Raúl Castro, Robert Kocharyan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and Serzh Sargsyan.
