"Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, held a phone call with the President of the United States, Donald Trump. During the meeting, bilateral relations between Turkey and the US, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed.

President Erdoğan stated during the meeting that Turkey would continue to take steps to advance cooperation with the US in many areas, particularly in the defense industry. Our President expressed his support for President Trump's approach to ending wars and stated that they appreciate the efforts put forth for the negotiation process with Iran and the termination of the Russia-Ukraine war.

President Erdoğan stated during the meeting that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached dire dimensions, that humanitarian aid must be delivered to Gaza without interruption, that this tragic humanitarian drama must be brought to an end, and that Turkey is ready to cooperate and provide all kinds of support for the establishment of a ceasefire and lasting peace.

Our President said that Turkey is making efforts to protect the territorial integrity of Syria and ensure stability, that the US's efforts to ease sanctions on Syria would contribute to the process, and that a stable Syria would support both regional and global peace. During the meeting, President Erdoğan invited US President Trump to Turkey."
