According to a statement from the ministry, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Jong Gyu signed the protocol providing for the entry into force of the partnership agreement in the capital, Moscow.


In accordance with the signed protocol, the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement concluded between Russia and North Korea has entered into force.


The comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Russia and North Korea was signed during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to North Korea in June.


It is stated that this agreement provides for mutual military assistance in the event of an attack on one of the parties and will contribute to the construction of an indivisible security system and a multipolar world order in the Northeast Asia and Asia-Pacific regions.
