Tesla shares rise to record high
Shares of the US electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla have reached an all-time high.
Tesla's share price gained over 4 percent as of 22:30 Turkish time, rising to 419.8 dollars.
With this, the company's share price surpassed the peak of 414.5 dollars recorded on November 3, 2021.
With the rise in its shares, Tesla's market value reached 1.3 trillion dollars.
The net worth of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the world's richest person, also exceeded 370 billion dollars.
Tesla shares had begun to rise following the election of Donald Trump, whom Musk supported, as the 47th president of the United States.
Since Trump's election victory, Tesla's shares have gained over 66 percent in value.
US President-elect Trump's announcement that Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy would lead the Department of Government Efficiency also influenced the direction of Tesla shares.
